Veles Vrda "Bull and Rose Society"

Veles Vrda, or "The Bull and Rose Society." Is a group within The Weavers, founded by initiates. Its origins are very recent and intricately connected to a new movement within Weaver initiates. These initiates believe that the predominant power structure within the current Weaver rulership is designed to suppress their abilities, intellect, freedoms, and basic rights to their own beliefs.

Members are all initiates and all display the society's tattoo on their body in a visible place. This tattoo is the head of a great horned bull surrounded by thorned roses. They believe that every initiate Weaver has a right to exist as they choose, to be themselves, and live their lives as they wish regardless of rank within the overall Weaver power structure.

This society was started by two young Weaver initiates, Rosalie Sharone and Teodora Basravich. It has been met with great scrutiny, and disapproval from The Great Loom, but has shown an almost unbelievable ability to resist being dismantled. Members always travel together, always display their tattoos, and never obey any order that infringes upon their beliefs. Even to the point of open confrontation.

One thing is clear. The birth of Veles Vrda has shown that there are cracks within the power structure of The Weavers. Eventually these cracks may prove too much for the organization as a whole. Or this society of initiates may succeed in upending the generations old vice of total control that is The Great Loom, thus creating a new era for all Weavers. Time will tell.
